Privacy notice

The short version (for children)

  • We never ask for your name, email or photo.
  • We do not use cookies and we do not track you.
  • Your stars are saved only on the device you are using. Nobody else can see them, not even us.

What we collect

Nothing that identifies you while you use the games. learnwith.games has no accounts, no sign-up forms, no comments and no chat. We do not use analytics, advertising trackers, social media buttons, embedded videos or third-party fonts. Every file on the site is served from learnwith.games itself.

What is saved on your device

When you finish a game, your best score and stars for that topic (and which subject and year it belongs to) are saved in your browser's local storage under the name lwg.progress.v1. Your choices for sound effects and game speed are saved under lwg.prefs.v1. This is how the site remembers your stars and badges next time. It never leaves your device and is not sent to us or anyone else.

You can delete it at any time with this button, or by clearing your browser's site data.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. As with any website, our host has to process technical information such as your IP address to send pages to your device and to protect the site from attacks. We do not use this information to identify or track anyone, and we have not turned on any analytics.

Buying a printable pack

Grown-ups can buy printable packs from our shop. Payments are taken by Onelink, Stripe’s checkout service, which sells the packs as the merchant of record. When you buy, you give your name, email address, payment details and country to Onelink on its own secure checkout page (hosted by Stripe), not to us. Onelink uses them to take the payment, work out tax, send your receipt and handle any payment questions, under its own privacy policy, which is linked from the checkout. We can see the order in our Stripe account (what was bought, when, the amount and the email address for the receipt) and we use that only to deliver your pack and help you if something goes wrong.

The download page on learnwith.games checks your purchase with Stripe each time you open it, using the reference in its web address. We do not store your details on our site, and the shop and download pages set no cookies. Children never need to use the shop, and the games never show adverts for it.

Advertising

There are no adverts at the moment. If we add adverts in future, they will be non-personalised only: they will not use cookies or tracking, and they will not build a profile of you. We will update this notice before that happens.

Designed for children

We follow the principles of the UK Information Commissioner's Office Age appropriate design code (the Children's Code): high privacy by default, no profiling, no location tracking, no sharing of data, and no tricks to keep children playing. Stars and badges are simple rewards for finishing a game; there are no daily streaks, timers that push you to come back, or prizes to buy.
